The usual terms, written the same way as everything else on here — plainly, and by the person who actually runs the site.
North & Ness is run by Alan Coppin, trading as North & Ness, Balnafettack Road, Inverness IV3 8TF. By using this site, you're agreeing to these terms — if you don't agree, the only request I'd make is that you stop using the site.
I write everything here from personal, current knowledge, and every page carries a date so you can see when it was last checked. But opening times, prices, operators, and routes change — sometimes without notice — so treat this as a well-informed starting point, not a guarantee, and confirm anything time- or money-sensitive directly with the business or operator before you travel or book.
Some links go to third-party operators, and some of those are affiliate links (marked where they appear, and explained fully on the privacy page). I don't control those sites, can't vouch for everything on them, and I'm not responsible for the service you get once you leave here and book with someone else.
Local businesses can submit and edit their own listings and events. That content is theirs — I don't verify every detail they enter, and I'll remove anything that's clearly false, misleading, or abusive, but I'm not responsible for the accuracy of what a business chooses to publish about itself.
The writing, photography, and design here are mine (or licensed for use here) unless stated otherwise. Feel free to link to any page — please don't copy or republish whole articles, itineraries, or photos elsewhere without asking first at info@northandness.scot.
This is honest, best-effort travel writing from one person, not professional or legal advice. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for losses arising from relying on anything published here, including missed bookings, closed attractions, or weather-related disruption — the Highlands are the Highlands.
I may update these terms as the site grows — particularly once business accounts and direct booking are added in later phases. The date below reflects the last update; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
Same as everything else here — if anything's unclear, email info@northandness.scot and I'll answer it myself.
